What an incredible weekend!
Caleb marked his American racing debut in style, taking a P3 overall finish at the Veterans Race of Remembrance at Virginia International Raceway.

The six-hour endurance race was held over the US Veterans Day weekend, celebrating the service and sacrifice of military personnel through motorsport. Caleb shared a Ford Mustang with US veterans Callum Beldon and Bryan Winker, as part of the Resilience Racing Foundation – a veteran-led organisation that supports injured service members through adaptive racing.

“It’s been an honour to race here in America amongst such dedicated teams, and to be part of an event that honours veterans and their service,” said Caleb.

“The US fans and organisers have been incredibly welcoming, and to share the car with Callum and Bryan made the experience even more special.

The Mustang is such an iconic American car – pure torque and muscle. It was a real challenge compared to the high-tech McLaren I usually race, but that made it even more rewarding to adapt and bring it home on the podium.

The support from back home in Wales has been amazing. I’ve had so many messages before and after the race, and it really means a lot knowing everyone’s cheering us on from across the pond.”

Caleb, 17, from Caerleon in South Wales, is the UK’s only profoundly deaf professional racing driver. Having lost more than 90% of his hearing at the age of two, he now races using bespoke cochlear implant technology that lets him communicate with his pit crew while wearing his helmet – a world-first in motorsport.

This season, Caleb has been racing a McLaren GT4 with Team BRIT in the UK, where he’s already claimed multiple podium finishes. His success in America marks another major milestone as he continues to push towards his long-term goals – the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and, ultimately, the British Touring Car Championship.
