"Breaking Barriers" - A World-First in Motorsport Communication

This moment is something truly special.

In partnership with The Elizabeth Foundation, Caleb had the chance to surprise nine-year-old Arlo on his birthday. Like Caleb, Arlo is deaf and uses cochlear implants. But what happened next went far beyond a birthday message.

For the first time in motorsport history, two profoundly deaf cochlear implant users spoke to each other over live race comms.
What most drivers take for granted, a simple chat over the radio, became a powerful milestone for deaf awareness and inclusion.

Arlo was able to speak directly to his racing hero while Caleb was in the McLaren, showing just how far technology and determination can go in breaking down barriers.

This was more than a conversation. It was proof to Arlo, and to every young person facing similar challenges, that nothing is impossible.
